A sunrise at the Kinderdijk windmills is actually never the same. Sometimes you stand there alone and sometimes with a dozen other photographers.
Such was the case this morning. I had time to go out again and went to the windmills at kinderdijk. That's about 10 minutes away from me. After the alarm clock went off, I first looked out of the window. I saw that there was some wind and quite a few clouds in the sky, a recipe for crawling back under the covers.
Nevertheless, I went and shot this picture there. I used a shutter speed of 30 sec here. This gives you nice lines in the sky that carry you nicely through the photo.
The photo, taken before sunrise just at the end of the blue hour gives a beautiful picture of the early hours here in kinderdijk, even if the weather conditions are sometimes not quite ideal you can still make beautiful pictures!
Sincerely,
Gerard Stasse
