About the artwork

In the heart of Bangkok, in the venerable Wat Prayurawongsawas Waravihan - known as Wat Prayun for short - this golden Buddha statue shines in silent majesty. It shows the historical Buddha Gautama at the moment of his enlightenment. The right hand touches the pedestal in the gesture of the bhumispara mudra, or "touching the earth": a symbol of the decisive moment when Buddha called upon the earth itself as a witness to his truthfulness. This pose combines cosmic tranquillity and unshakeable certainty, which immediately touch the viewer.
Several smaller, standing Buddhas are lined up in front of the monumental statue. Their raised hands embody the Abhaya mudra, the gesture of protection, fearlessness and peaceful devotion. They act like guardians, carrying the splendour and spiritual power of the large figure out into the world. Together, they create a multi-layered image of security, clarity and inner strength.
The warm gold of the figures reflects the light of the chandeliers and fills the room with an atmosphere of timeless sanctity. In the midst of bustling Bangkok, a place of silence, meditation and contemplation opens up here - a place where the depth of Buddhist wisdom is reflected in the splendour of the gilded statues.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
