Emerald Green Art Deco Stained-Glass Painting: Two Leaves in Love

by Surreal Media

Two mirror-like plumes of long, curved leaf-like shapes rise from the base and curve towards each other until their tips touch. The glass is emerald green with a lively rippled pattern, interspersed with soft shades of olive, sage and brass. Each section is outlined by a thin golden line. Behind the plumes, fine lines radiate like a rising sun, casting a soft glow at the centre. A border of marbled, pale green tiles frames the whole. Where the tips meet, a single small copper-coloured droplet hangs, and there are two more along the central axis. It’'n small detail, but it carries the whole piece.

I thought of love as two movements growing towards one another and meeting in the centre. The Art Deco style, with its symmetry and rich forms, brings that feeling to life. It is a digital artwork with a stained-glass look, featuring deep evening hues and soft highlights on the gold.

The atmosphere is deep, calm and opulent. The green is cool, whilst the gold and copper lend warmth. You sense luxury, pride and a quiet sense of wonder.

In a living room, the piece brings a sense of calm; in a hall, it offers a stylish welcome. It suits a dining room with wooden furniture or an office where you like to take a moment to admire something beautiful. A piece for those who love nature, balance and refinement.
