About ‘Elf Cave’ by Sander Poppe

The Elfengrotte is a special and atmospheric getaway near Bad Bertrich, not far from Cochem in Germany's Eifel region. This cave, also known as the Elfengrotte or Elfenhöhle, was partly formed by human hands and is therefore known as a 'made' place full of mysticism. From the car park, a beautiful path leads you to an idyllic little river, where a charming bridge takes you to the other bank. This is where the adventure part begins: via a staircase carved into the rock, you descend towards the hidden waterfall of the Elf Cave.

The babbling water and the dense, green forest create a fairytale atmosphere. Especially in the early morning or on a foggy day, you can imagine yourself in another world here. This place is loved by hikers, nature lovers and photographers looking for tranquillity and unique nature experiences. The combination of the natural landscape and the special man-made elements make the Elfengrotte one of the most beautiful sights in the Vulkaneifel region.

A visit to the Elfengrotte can be perfectly combined with a hike through the beautiful surroundings of Bad Bertrich and Cochem. Don't miss this magical location during your holiday in the Eifel!

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
