In late 2024, I was travelling through Botswana. The rainy season, so there were few other travellers. An advantage in this wet period. And the colours there are beautiful at that time.
In Makgadikgadi National park, I photographed this small herd of elephants. We followed them for a while where we did stay near the car. When they are so relaxed we feel confident enough for this. They are beautiful and sensitive animals that have close family ties. They can also get cranky if you don't show them respect. And rightly so. And a solitary bull with too much testosterone in its body is better not to encounter.
