About the artwork

Elephants are large mammals in the Elephantidae family within the order of trunk animals (Proboscidea). Traditionally, two species are recognised, the African elephant (Loxodonta africana) and the Asian elephant (Elephas maximus). DNA studies have established that African elephants consist of two distinct species, the savannah elephant (Loxodonta africana) and the forest elephant (Loxodonta cyclotis), respectively.

Elephants are widespread in sub-Saharan Africa and southern and south-eastern Asia. They are the only surviving species of trunked animals; extinct species include mammoths and mastodons. Elephants are the largest living land animals. Male African elephants can reach a height of 4 m and a mass of 7,000 kg. These animals have several distinctive features, such as a trunk that is used for many purposes, especially for grasping objects. Their incisors grow into tusks and serve as tools for moving objects, digging and as weapons during fights. The elephant's large ear flaps are used to control body temperature. African elephants have larger ears and a concave back, while Asian elephants have smaller ears a convex or straight back. source wikipedia

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
