I went to Eguisheim at night because I wanted to take this image without people walking around, only to discover there where absolutely NO lights on in the small town, perhaps to save on the electricity bill.
Therefore I went back to shoot in Colmar, determined to return shortly before dawn, to photograph at the blue hour.
Back in Eguisheim, while I was setting up the tripod the lights suddenly came on, remaining lit for about half an hour, until the sun came up.
This work will look great on canvas, aluminum, Xpozer, (framed) photo print or wallpaper, custom printed in Fine Art quality - just don't choose "round print" ;-)
I love to shoot landscapes / cityscapes (very) early or late in the day and I am more than willing to forgo sleeping, and drive for hours just to be ready and capture a worthy image... Read more…
