About ‘Egmond aan Zee lighthouse’ by Remco Schoonderwoert
lighthouse J.C.J. van Speijk is named after the naval officer J.C.J. van Speijk who blew himself and his ship up to avoid falling into the hands of the rebellious Belgians. The lighthouse is no longer in use as a beacon but is now a national monument.
