About "Drone photo of sunrise at the mill"

About the artwork

A landscape photo of the Hempenserpolder mill under the Frisian Wergea during a misty spring morning. This photo was taken with a drone, so you can admire the Frisian landscape very well.

In Friesland there are still about 100 polder mills, including this mill which is now a national monument. The mill is located on the outskirts of Leeuwarden and near the village of Wergea. Fortunately, the mill has been preserved and restored. The nice thing is that enthusiastic volunteer millers still run the mill and grind in the old-fashioned way. When there is enough wind and the weather is good, the mill turns the water from the polder to the reservoir. Another fun fact is that the Wetterskip Fryslân uses the mill to house an, unmanned, electrically powered pumping station to keep the water in the polder at the required level. For this purpose, sensors have been placed at the screw trough and the shoot.

It was a wonderful moment to be able to see the sunrise at this spot near the mill. The ground fog created a magical atmosphere. More photos of beautiful Friesland can be found in my shop.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
