In the middle of the Vliehors has been the drowning house for more than a century. In former days it was a refuge for stranded shipwrecked people. In addition to dry clothes, water and food, there was also a telephone connection to the Posthuys.
Nowadays the drowning house is owned by the Vliehors Expres and furnished as a beachcomber's museum, here you will find a colourful collection of seaworthiness and in 1997 the rescue house was officially designated as a wedding location. This picture was taken on 13 August 2019 after a storm with wind force 9. Dark rain clouds made it a true photo experience.
