Dreamy Mixed media art: Transparent flowers and plants by Studio Pieternel

Exclusive design for Werk aan de Muur / Art Heroes

This is an enchanting mixed media/digital botanical composition with a strong emphasis on its dreamy and delicate atmosphere.

Residential applications
The artwork shows multiple flowers in a palette of powder pink, soft peach and warm orange.
The flowers have an effect of pressed, transparent plants, as if printed on silk, giving a delicate, ethereal quality.

They are supported by stems and dark, almost purple-grey leaves, creating rich layering and a beautiful contrast to the light petals.

The dreamy atmosphere is enhanced by the background, where faint, overlapping, circular structures are visible.
These are patterns of rice paper lanterns, giving the work a subtle Asian-inspired or Art Deco touch.
Gold accents in the form of tiny speckles add to a sense of magic and sparkle.

Residential applications (Interior & Decor)
This artwork is ideal for creating a serene and sophisticated atmosphere in the home:

Bedroom: The soft colour palette and soothing composition are perfect above the bed to promote a calming, wellness-like environment.

Living room: Great as an eye-catcher above a neutral sofa or in a reading corner, especially in interiors with a Scandinavian, Japandi, or Vintage style.

Home office: The organic shapes and soft colours have a stress-reducing effect, contributing to a relaxed and creative workplace.
