About the artwork
A symmetrical, vaulted corridor supported by massive stone columns. The arches, which are designed in a tapered style, are reminiscent of Gothic or neo-Gothic architecture. The ceiling is illuminated by soft light, which shines in various colours such as white and a soft pink. This lighting enhances the depth and spatial feeling of the corridor, while the colour nuances of the arches lead the viewer's gaze forward.
Symmetry is a central feature of the image, with the left and right sides of the corridor almost perfectly mirrored. This architectural arrangement creates an impression of infinity, as if the space continues endlessly. The floor is made of large stone slabs that could reinforce the impression of a historical or sacred place, such as a cathedral or a crypt.
Through the balance of light, form and structure, the scene radiates calm and grandeur and emphasises the harmonious combination of classical architecture and modern lighting technology.
