"Dream Roof by the Sea"
In this surreal and futuristic image, we see a fisherman standing impassively on the beach, while above him the sky seems to tear open in a rainbow-like spectacle of light and colour. The scene raises questions about reality and dream, nature and technology. The artwork is a fusion of two photographs: a rustic beach scene and an otherworldly, almost holographic aerial spectacle. Together, they create an intriguing scene in which the mundane is transcended by the otherworldly.
Dream Roof was created in photoshop and painter 2020 from Corel. The roof is a nautilus shell and the fisherman is on the beach of Wijk aan Zee.
