A dramatic summer evening on the Kneifelspitze - one of the most beautiful panoramic mountains around Berchtesgaden. The view sweeps across gentle alpine meadows to the rugged peaks of the Hoher Göll, which towers majestically over the valley with its steep rock faces. On the opposite slope, the Eagle's Nest clings seemingly tiny to the rock, framed by dark fir trees and rugged precipices.
The sky is ablaze - without glaring rays of sunshine, but filled with intense shades of blue, violet and red, which blend into the dramatic cloud structure. The sunset is not peaceful, but powerful, almost stirring. The mountains appear even more massive under the changing colour of the sky, the shadows deeper, the air heavier.
A long exposure causes the sky and landscape to merge into an almost unreal image. The clouds drift over the peaks like mist, while the Hohe Göll absorbs the last light of the day in unshakeable calm.
The Kehlsteinhaus and Göll appear in an exciting contrast between man and nature. The moment is full of atmosphere - wild, sublime, calm and dramatic at the same time. A sight that awakens humility and remains in the memory: the untamed power of the mountains in interplay with light and time.
