Arches National Park, seen here from "Double Arch". For work, I got to head back to Salt Lake City and had a few days to get out and about. Of course, never without camera and tripod, which are standard in my suitcase. I had put several things on my "to-do" list, including a visit to "Arches National Park".
My plan was to photograph the Milky Way here at night. It would be beautifully visible from this spot, provided the weather cooperated, of course. As I like to explore the location in advance, so I don't get any surprises, I went to check out "Double Arch" in the afternoon.
Now I could determine the right position in this gigantic "Arch" at leisure, using the apps I use to plan my astrophotography photos ahead. Now this location is so unique that I naturally took some photos in daylight. By putting my camera on a tripod and taking a whole series of photos, I could easily filter out all the people at home. In addition, I sit down at home to make the photo suitable for my shop at Werk aan de Muur.
