The old town of Dordrecht on an early Sunday morning. Heart of winter and a little snow had fallen in the early hours, just enough for a wintry picture.
This is the Pottenkade, the place where potters used to sell their wares. A historic place in Dordrecht located next to the Grote Kerk the "Big Church) with in the picture the cottages built against the church, dating from 1720. The church itself is Dordrecht's most famous monument, with a tower that is quite crooked due to the swampy ground (which is why construction stopped at its current height in the Middle Ages). But it can still be seen from afar and defines the skyline of old Dordrecht.
