Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Dorcas, 1999’ by Francisca Rosner

Dorcas. Shakespeare liefhebbers zullen deze naam direct herkennen als de charmante herderin uit het zeventiende-eeuws toneelstuk 'The Winter tale'. Francisca is zo'n liefhebster. 'Mijn vader was een Shakespeare expert dus ik ben ermee opgegroeid. Ik ben zelfs vernoemd naar een karakter' vertelt ze. In haar gouache (een schilderij op karton) is Dorcas op een eigen manier verbeeld. Het werk is onderdeel van een reeks gouaches die met een dekkende laag acrylverf op karton geschilderd is. De keuze om te werken op karton is voor Francisca makkelijk uit te leggen. 'Het startpunt is al gekleurd en niet maagdelijk wit'. Ook werkt het naar haar inzicht sneller en vloeiender. Verder is de mogelijkheid om met diverse tekenmaterialen te werken voor Francisca van belang. 'Alles kan je gebruiken. Stiften, oliebars, inkt maar ook houtskool'. Met deze materialen maakt ze een schets waarna ze verder gaat met verf.
