Door handles exposed to the elements over the years. Rust stains layers of paint various colours. A beautiful steel door with an old handle. The double keyholes there are a lot of details to be seen in this picture.
I wanted to capture and enhance the colours and layers of the years in the photo.
With my work as a street photographer, I show the rough, unpolished sides of city life. With my photographs, I try to capture the beauty of everyday moments. The viewer can then invent his or her own story to go with it. I also have a fondness for industrial environments, such as harbour sites and factory buildings, where traces of the industrial past are still present. In doing so, I try to photograph subtle details, using both digital and analogue cameras.
