Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.

About ‘Dong Qichang - Landscapes after old masters 3’ by Peter Balan

Dong Qichang (1555-1636) was an influential Chinese painter, calligrapher, art theorist and civil servant of the late Ming dynasty. He is considered one of the most important intellectuals of his time in the field of fine arts. Dong made a clear distinction between the "northern school" (technical, decorative) and the "southern school" (intuitive, spiritual), favouring the latter. His own landscape paintings are stylised, abstracted and strongly inspired by earlier masters such as Ni Zan or Wang Wei. Through his writings and his works, he had a lasting influence on Chinese art theory and the development of literati painting.
