The Auronzo hut is located at an altitude of 2,333 metres on the south side of the Three Peaks in the Italian Dolomites in the province of Belluno.

The Three Peaks (Tre Cime di Lavaredo in Italian) are a striking mountain range in the Sesto Dolomites on the border between the Italian provinces of Belluno in the south and South Tyrol in the north. The highest elevation in the group is the 2999 metre-high Große Zinne.
