Hunebed D29 is located along with hunebed D28 just east of the village of Borger in the direction of Buinen south of the N374 in the Dutch province of Drenthe. The dolmens are located in a small wooded area in the middle of a field, which can be reached via a narrow sandy path.
Hunebed D29, in contrast to the nearby D28, which has three, has only two capstones, one of which slid downwards. Van Giffen thinks that it concerns two halves of one broken cover stone, the onset of the cover hill is still present.
