Dokkum, the northernmost city of the Netherlands and one of the oldest of the Frisian Eleven Cities. The city is usually directly associated with Boniface, who was murdered here in 754. But Dokkum is much more! In this beautifully preserved fortified town, the rich past is still clearly visible and tangible.
