This dilapidated villa has lost much of its roof over time; you can now see right through the rafters to the blue sky. The trees outside have left a thick layer of dry autumn leaves in the room, and ivy grows luxuriantly through the roof and glassless windows into the room. The three windows are still in their frames, though, and only connected to the open roof by a few beams. The glass in the windows disappeared years ago, but the rods are still in them. Even the old-fashioned radiator is still in its place under the window. So you can get a good idea of what it must have once been like. A small cosy room in a particularly beautiful villa. Despite, or maybe even because of the decay, this is an atmospheric photo of a special room. The ivy and autumn leaves really add to the atmosphere of the image, a picture for the wall!
