Diamond beach is a true phenomenon for anyone who visits, or has visited, Iceland.
The pitch-black beach dotted with (in winter, in summer there is a bit less) small and huge blocks of ice, in all kinds of unusual shapes. This close-up was made in summer, of 1 of the smaller pieces of ice lying on the beach. An extraordinary phenomenon, when the sun shines on it, the ice blocks sparkle.
