Detail of the interior of the Cruquius Steam Pumping Station Museum near Heemstede, North Holland in the Netherlands. The pumping station is one of the three with which the Haarlemmermeerpolder has been dried. The pumping station was taken into use in 1849. The Haarlemmermeer was dry in 1852. The pumping station worked with a large Cockerill steam engine. It is now a museum.
