About ‘Desire’ by Arjen Roos

In my digital painting titled "Desire" I take you into the mysterious world of a young lady dressed in a white dress. She exudes a certain modesty, as if deep in thought.

The white dress evokes several associations, such as that of a bride or a bridesmaid. However, it is up to the viewer to decide what meaning lies behind it. Perhaps the white dress simply symbolises purity and innocence, or it is an expression of longing for something greater.

The mystery of this young lady is enhanced by her serene gaze and the subtle details in the painting. It seems as if she is in her own world, her mind wandering to a deeper meaning.

Using digital painting techniques, I tried to capture this girl's emotion and longing. The colours and brushstrokes add to the mood of the work and evoke a sense of intrigue.

"Desire" is not only a visually appealing painting, but also an invitation to give your own interpretation to the story behind this young lady. Let your imagination run wild and discover the deeper layers of emotion and desire embedded in this work.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
