The Boijmans museum depot in Rotterdam is another fine addition to the architecture city that Rotterdam can surely be called. The photo was taken in the early evening in winter 2024. on the left, you can see part of the architecture institute. Formerly the NAI.
The depot is a 39.5-metre-high, bowl-shaped building clad on the outside with mirror panels, revealing a more or less contiguous reduced mirror image of its surroundings, where one can see over the surrounding buildings. The building contains 1664 mirror panels with a combined area of 6609 m2. The total floor area is 15,541 m2.[5]
The building has seven floors. On the roof is a restaurant with 120 seats.
