The De Tomaso Pantera is a mid-engined sports car produced by Italian car manufacturer De Tomaso from 1971 to 1992. The Pantera, Italian for "Panther", was the automaker's most popular model, with over 7,000 produced during its twenty-year production run. From 1972 to 1975, more than three-quarters of the production was sold by American Lincoln-Mercury dealers; after the end of this agreement, De Tomaso continued to produce the car in increasingly smaller numbers until the early 1990s.
