Cypress trees have always been seen as a symbol of Tuscany in Italy and there is something satisfying about the rows of cypress trees that are traditionally used on the driveway to many large houses, as shown here. In autumn there is a wonderful contrast between the evergreen trees, including the cypresses and the deciduous trees as their leaves change and fall. That is shown beautifully here, with the dark row of cypresses really highlighting the golden colours in the trees on the edge of the woodland beyond.
