About the artwork

This photo captures an atmospheric winter scene in nocturnal Leiden, where a cyclist makes his way through a heavy snowfall. The warm light from the classic Leiden lampposts shines on the Oude Rijn, illuminating the swirling snowflakes, which dance through the air like tiny points of light. The cyclist, clad in thick clothing, ploughs bravely through the fresh snow, an everyday but powerful symbol of life in the city during a bleak winter evening.

The bare trees along the canal are covered with a thin layer of snow, which subtly glows in the soft glow of the street lights. The shimmer of the snow contrasts beautifully with the dark night background, while the rippling waters of the Oude Rijn canal are visible just enough to add depth and dynamism to the scene.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
