While travelling through the English county of Norfolk, I was in the seaside town of Cromer on a stormy autumn day. The weathered plank deck of the pier is still wet while a dark sky of clouds passes over from which another shower could fall at any moment. The showers are interspersed with bright clearings. So outside the tourist season, it is quiet on the pier. Only a few venture outside.
For this shot, I used a wide-angle lens so I could get both the pier and a bit of the sea in the frame.
