About the artwork

Crane birds or Common Cranes or Eurasian Cranes (Grus Grus) flying in mid air in a sunset during the autumn migration over the moors of Diepholz in Germany. The cranes feed and rest in the fields around the moors in Lower Saxony, Germany during their migration from the breeding grounds in Northern Germany, Poland and Scandinavia to their winter habitats in Spain and Northern Africa. The common crane, also known as the Eurasian crane, is a large bird with a wingspan of up to 2.4 meters. During autumn migration, thousands of common cranes can be seen flying in V-shaped formations across the skies of Diepholz. The sight is especially spectacular during a sunset, when the orange and pink hues of the sky create a stunning backdrop for the graceful birds.

As the cranes fly overhead, their distinctive bugling calls can be heard echoing across the landscape. These calls are used by the birds to communicate with each other and to maintain their formation as they travel southward to their wintering grounds.

The cranes are known for their impressive migration journeys, which can cover thousands of kilometers. They typically begin their journey in late August or early September, and will travel through Diepholz on their way to Spain, Africa, or other warmer regions.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
