"Who are you, and what are you doing there?" you can see them thinking. And I kindly explain to them that they are going to be photographed. Pensive looks. What a beautiful couple, right in front of my wide-angle lens.
I always thank my photo subjects afterwards. And I wish them a nice day. Who knows, they might pick up something from my positive intentions. This close to your subject, funny things happen. A lick across my lens, or a ponytail in my face. It's all fine by me.
