La Poulette is the name of this cute little cottage on the beach in France. The cottage stands in the dunes near the seaside town of Agon-Coutainville in Normandy. As the inscription states, it has been there since 1926.
Every year I come to Agon-Coutainville to celebrate Christmas with my French in-laws. The year I was allowed to graduate as a photographer was no different. For an exam assignment, I took this photo. And yes, I passed!
The photo was taken in winter. In December to be exact. But I don't think you can necessarily tell from the photo. A summer in Normandy can also easily give clouds like this. The image is not therefore not seasonal and radiates tranquility.
The image has become a coherent whole. There is a line play in it that drags you into the photo. From the sheep fence on the right to the beach posts on the left. The spectacular sky, the characteristic cottage and the blurred grass in the foreground complete the picture.
This photo is appropriate for a variety of situations. Very suitable on the wall in a practice, office or (French) deli. Bring the atmosphere and feeling of the sea and the beach inside with this beautiful picture.
