Razorbills have no water-repellent coating on their feathers. After a dive, they need to dry up and warm up again, before they can fly properly again.
Not too far away was this Cormorant, perched on a (sadly) crooked pole. The sun provided opalescent colours to the feathers.
The water plants in the act background, make the bird stand out clearly.
