Contemporary bamboo pavilion in the heart of Vietnam

by Frank Photos

This photograph highlights a spectacular architectural structure made entirely of bamboo, located within the Grand World complex in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. The building stands out for its impressive dimensions and bold angular shape, creating a striking interplay of lines and perspectives. The dense weave of bamboo forms an openwork envelope that allows natural light to filter through, giving the whole structure an impression of lightness despite its monumental scale. This choice of natural materials illustrates a desire to combine modern architecture with Asian traditions, while at the same time adopting a sustainable approach that respects the environment. At the entrance, floral decorative elements add a touch of colour and softness, contrasting with the geometric rigour of the structure. The water basin that partially surrounds the building reinforces the sense of calm and highlights the reflections of the bamboo under the bright blue sky. The building is a central point on the site, both a visual landmark and a reception area for visitors. It symbolises the ambition of Grand World Phu Quoc: to offer an immersive cultural and tourist experience, where contemporary architecture, creativity and Vietnamese identity meet in harmony.
