The Common Bottlenose Dolphin is a social dolphin usually seen in groups. The normal group size fluctuates between 5 and 20 individuals, but during migration or in drift hunts, considerably larger aggregations are sometimes seen. Although the Common Bottlenose Dolphin has developed a whole range of sounds for communication, it is not yet clear whether it can be called a language. With the help of sonar, their underwater radar, the Common Bottlenose Dolphin can orientate itself very well even in murky water and track its prey, mainly fish.
