About the artwork
Since The Hague city hall is much black and white anyway, I didn't need to change much. The building is also popularly called the Ice Palace for a reason.
If you walk from Central Station between the buildings you pass it.
It is a very special building though. Even when the offices are closed you could walk through it but don't know if that is still the case.
After several "accidents" they stretched nets on the various floors which worked out well for my collage.
It was fun to puzzle out how the pieces, for me, gave the best result.
About Marianne van der Zee
Who am I, a small intro:
Once started as an architecture photographer with Robert Oerlemans as my photography docent at the art academy in The Hague.
Later followed by a 4-year art study "visual" at the UCK in Utrecht and a screen printing course at the CKE in Eindhoven.
