In Europe rare Colchian maple, Acer cappadocicum with inflorescence and young leaves in Herrenkrug Park on the banks of the Elbe near Magdeburg in spring. The Colchian maple does not occur naturally in Europe. It was not until the first landscaped gardens were created over 200 years ago that a few specimens made their appearance, as here in Herrenkrugpark in Magdeburg.
