Clouds at Moddergat, view over the Wadden Sea. Moddergat is a church village in the municipality of Noardeast-Fryslân, in the Dutch province of Friesland. It lies northeast of Nes and Oosternijkerk, northwest of Lioessens and west of Paesens. The village centre lies on the sea dike of the Wadden Sea.
