About ‘Cliffs and sea: Diu's natural defence’ by Frank Photos

Diu Fort, built by the Portuguese in the 16th century, majestically overlooks the Arabian Sea. Its stone ramparts, marked by the passage of time, offer an unrestricted view of the steep cliffs and sparkling waters. Once a bastion of defence against invasion, it still retains traces of its colonial past, with rusting cannons pointing towards the horizon. Nature has reclaimed its rights, partially covering the walls with vegetation, giving the place a mystical atmosphere. Today, the fort is a living testimony to history, attracting travellers in search of spectacular panoramas and historical heritage. A stroll along its ramparts offers a striking contrast between the military remains and the infinity of the ocean.
