About the artwork

Catherine of Alexandria ('Saint Catherine, the great martyr') († 25 November 307) is among the most popular saints of the Middle Ages. Her name is derived from the Greek word katharos meaning "pure" or "pure". Throughout history, her originally Greek biography (c. 6th century) has become very intertwined with folk tales and new legends. Catherine is one of the 14 distress helpers. She is invoked as a protector against plague and to guard chastity. She is also sometimes seen as a protector during childbirth.

John the Baptist (c. 7 BC - c. 30, but certainly before 36 AD) is a prophet within Christianity, Mandeism and Islam. In Eastern Orthodoxy, he is called Johannes Prodromos, John the Predecessor, and was the nephew of Jesus Christ.

They stand here with Mother Mary and son Jesus.

Giovanni Battista Cima, also called Cima da Conegliano (Conegliano, circa 1460 - 5 February 1517-1518), was an Italian Renaissance painter. He is counted among the Venetian School. His work is characterised by a refined technique, many details (especially also in the landscapes in the background of many of his works) and an intense use of colour, with great attention to atmosphere.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
