About the artwork

The picture shows the West Gate at Songpan, an impressive gate standing atop a mountain. The gate is about 300 metres above the city, which means you have to make a considerable climb to get there. Once you get to the top, you will be face to face with the imposing gate. The gate's sturdy, brick walls are a fine example of traditional Chinese architecture. Atop these walls is a Chinese temple, which adds an extra cultural dimension to the place.

The gate is an important historical and cultural monument in Songpan, a city with a rich history in Sichuan province. The architecture of the gate is typically Chinese, with the distinctive roof structures and arched entrances often seen in ancient Chinese structures. The walls surrounding the gate are robust and give a sense of strength and protection, while the temple on top adds a spiritual and religious element.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
