About "Chicago"

About the artwork

On this evening walk through downtown Chicago, the light fell just right. The sun was slowly sinking behind the horizon, letting its last rays fall between the tall buildings. It gave the street a warm glow, while the city around me came alive with the sound of traffic, pedestrians and the rattle of the underground above my head.

I took my time to carefully determine my composition. The elevated rail line of the Chicago Loop forms a powerful element in the image: a horizontal line contrasting the vertical architecture of the city. The depth of the street, the lines of the buildings and the soft light made this a special moment. After a series of shots, I knew the right image was among them.

As always, I elaborate on my photos after returning home. At my desk, with professional equipment and editing software, I edit each shot with attention to detail. For this image, I chose a warm colour finish to make the most of the sunlight, shadows and atmosphere of the city.

The result is a powerful cityscape that captures the energy of Chicago in a moment of light and texture. An ode to the rhythm of the city, caught between steel, stone and sunlight.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
