Charlotte is a woman in her twenties who lives in Trondheim, Norway's second largest city after Oslo. She has a Spanish father and a Norwegian mother. This combination of Spanish heat and Norwegian coolness explains, for those in the know, the phlegmatic beauty Charlotte exudes. Unfortunately, you can't see it in this photo. Charlotte came to me for about five years for a week, just for fun and also to do photography together. That familiarity made it possible to take impossible photos's sometimes for hours. Like this one taken on 17 April 2023. In 2018, together with my teacher Henri Senders, I bought an old stable window that was full of dirt and spiders. Although I did use it occasionally, I became despondent that there were actually hardly any photos's worth taking. Charlotte and I, however, took up the challenge again. From hours of photographing, an unnatural number of special images suddenly emerged (which is why this is also number 7). This one was taken on my terrace with my garden in the background. Sometimes I don't remember exactly what happened and why. What I do know is that I love this photo because for me it expresses how small and alone human beings can be and that even then they shine in beauty.
