Charles Mingus was an African-American double bass player, pianist, (jazz) composer and a big band orchestra leader who was one of the leading figures in jazz, especially in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
The original painting was painted in watercolour (watercolour) combined with pure Van Dijck brown pigment and acrylic paint at a size of 40x50cm.
