A view towards the main square, piazza, in Panicale. Panicale is a medieval hill town in Umbria, Italy which sits very high bounded by town walls. the central square is a hive of activity and is where the main Christmas decorations are set up each year. The shops and cafes look onto the square. We can see a local Italian walking down the slope, about to go past the beautifully decorated Christmas tree and then into the cafe for a morning coffee.
