About "Cemetery Road Copenhagen"

About the artwork

Strangely enough, one of the popular tourist attractions in Copenhagen, Denmark is the Assistens Cemetery. It is most notable as the burial place of Hans Christian Anderson alongside a number of other famous Danish people. Originally, however, when it was inaugurated in 1760, it was a site to bury the poor; the intention was to relieve the crowded local graveyards. This changed in the early part of the nineteenth century. Even then, the cemetery was a popular excursion spot and people would visit for a day out and take a picnic.

The cemetery is very large and contained within a high brick wall but down the middle of the cemetery runs a narrow road with gates in the wall at each end. This is a popular spot for dog walking and people on bicycles and not really accessible for cars. This image shows the road and gives an idea of the size of the cemetery. The lady on the bike dressed in a red jacket makes a pleasing contrast. Created in immpressionist style.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
