About the artwork

The picture shows a close-up of flowering golden varnish plants (Erysimum), whose bright yellow flowers sit in dense clusters on strong green stems. The background is blurred, making the intense colours of the flowers in the foreground stand out. The inspiration for this work came from observing a sunny spring day when the gold lacquer in a flower bed was particularly striking - not because it was exotic, but because of its simple but powerful presence. I was attracted by the challenge of translating this effect photographically in such a way that it could also be felt in the interior.

The atmosphere I want to create with this picture is calm, clear and flooded with light. It is about visualising consistency and natural beauty in the everyday. The message lies in the concentration on the essentials - colour, form, light.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
