This painting is playful, challenging, and quirky.
Nice and bold, nice and feminine, and nice and pink.
On this digital collage we see a defiant woman in tough boots. Challenging, but intangible with her bare legs as a protective shield. Her posture is somewhat contorted and unreal, her gaze elusive.
'Grab me if you can' is both joyful and playful, as well as challenging, alienating and difficult to fathom.
Will this woman stay put?
Is she ready to run?
Or is she ready for battle?
An intense painting full of dynamics in appearance and composition. The many diagonal lines lead to tension and dynamism, but caught in the square. The painterly interplay of lines adds a touch of intangibility.
With the colors old pink, bright pink, beige and black in the lead, this painting is powerful and feminine at the same time.
The painting was created through digital image processing, with a lot of experimentation and layers and gives an authentic feeling of a painting through the painterly brush and the texture applied over it.
